Somar Yahya is a cross-cultural content producer and coordinator with six years of experience working across visual media and data-driven social content. He is currently a Content Producer at WorkplaceBuddy, managing content strategy and production for a growing B2B platform.

He holds a background in Graphic Design (Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht, 2019), a Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Design (Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam, 2023), and a Master's degree in
Design Research (BAU Barcelona, 2025). His work spans management of B2B content, narrated content, and digital marketing campaigns, for clients including FC Centrum, Nederlands Filmfonds, 15L Films, and Cannes Indie Shorts Awards Film Festival.

In 2023, he received the Netherlands Film Fund Wildcard Award (Netherlands Film Festival)
with his WDKA graduation project. The latest project he managed, A Story Made Out of Anything, was produced with Valk Productions and funded by the Nederlands Filmfonds. It was successfully selected at the Nederlands Film Festival 2026, and is on its way to international festivals.
