As a Visual Storyteller and Filmmaker, I thrive on transforming complex narratives into engaging visual experiences. My expertise spans both digital and analog techniques, allowing me to adapt to each story’s unique essence and bring it
to life with authenticity and depth.
- I am a mixed-media filmmaker, illustrator, and artist. My passion for art began at the age of thirteen in Damascus, Syria—my hometown—where Ideveloped my own graffiti characters and lettering, drawing daily on both paper and walls. At eighteen, I moved to the Netherlands to study graphic design for two years at Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht. This period was filled with experimentation in digital art, motion design, mixed media, and traditional film.
Afterwards, I pursued a bachelor's degree in audiovisual design at Willem de Kooning Academy (WDKA)
in Rotterdam. There, I deepened my artistic practice and refined my skills in directing, filmmaking,
and animation, becoming more engaged with the Dutch art and film communities. As part of my studies,
I spent one semester at IED Barcelona, where I focused on motion graphics and video. During that time,
I created a teaser for the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards festival, which was selected as the official teaser.
I also collaborated on group projects involving 3D motion graphics and mixed-media short films.
My graduation short animated film from WDKA, Where All the Questions End, received a Wild Card from the Netherlands Film Funds at the Nederlands Film Festival (NFF). This award is supporting the development of my next animated short film, which will be produced in collaboration with Valk Productions.
